Cocoa Malt Queen is a Jin Jun Mei black tea produced in the Tong Mu region of Fujian Province, China. It is made from one bud and one young leaf, which are withered, rolled, fully oxidized, and dried. The tea is produced from the Xiao Ye Zhong cultivar grown at elevations of approximately 1,200 meters. Jin Jun Mei is a modern style of Chinese black tea first developed in the early 2000s and is known for using only tender spring buds, resulting in a refined, bud-heavy black tea.
