Amber Gaba (Oolong Tea) 10g
Amber GABA Oolong Tea
Amber GABA Oolong is a partially oxidized tea produced using a specialized oxygen-free (anaerobic) processing method that naturally increases the concentration of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the tea leaves. After harvesting and withering, the leaves are placed in a sealed chamber filled with nitrogen, where naturally occurring glutamic acid is converted into GABA. The tea is then finished using traditional oolong processing, including partial oxidation, rolling, and drying. Developed in Japan in the 1980s and later refined by Taiwanese tea producers, GABA oolong is defined by its unique processing method rather than a specific cultivar or growing region.
